Taking into consideration that in his veins runs the blood of several generations of circus artists on both sides of the family, Igor was destined to become an artist.
In the beginning, it seemed that Igor would fall into the footsteps of his ancestors and would pursue the career of an equilibrist or a high wire walker. But later he decided to break away from the family tradition and started to prepare himself for an aerial act. He succeeded in doing that.
At the age of fourteen, Igor began to perform with the Moscow State Circus, first as the main character in “Prometheus”, an act created by his famous great-grandfather Vladimir Volzhansky, then as a solo aerial artist.
For a long while, Igor performed with “Dralion” and then “Varekai” – touring shows of the world-renowned Cirque du Soleil.
At present time Igor is freelancing and teaching.
